The Illinois Corporation name must include the word or an abbreviation of a word that indicates that the named entity is a corporation. Examples of a corporate name ending include "Incorporated," "Corporation," "Company" or "Limited." The name cannot state or imply that the corporation or LLC is formed for purpose other than what is permitted in the articles of incorporation/organization. Also, the name cannot be the same or deceptively similar to any active domestic or foreign corporation or LLC filed with the state.
The Illinois Limited Liability Company (Illinois LLC) must use the term "Limited Liability Company" or "L.L.C." The name cannot state or imply that the corporation or LLC is formed for purpose other than what is permitted in the articles of incorporation/organization. Also, the name cannot be the same or deceptively similar to any active domestic or foreign corporation or LLC filed with the state.

Directors are not required to be listed in the articles of incorporation.
Officers are required to be listed in the articles of incorporation.
The number of shares of each class that the corporation is authorized to issue must be listed in the articles. In addition, the number of shares that is proposed to be issued, as well as the consideration to be received for such shares, must be included in the articles.
A corporation or LLC must maintain a registered agent at all times to accept any important service of process from the state. The registered agent must be located and available during regular business hours at a legal address within the state. Illinois prohibits the use of a P.O. Box as your registered agent's address.
The corporation must keep a record of shareholders at its registered office or principal place of business within the state.
