Kansas Corporation Names

The Kansas Corporation name must include the word “Association,” “Church,” “College,” “Company,” “ Corporation ,” “Club,” “Foundation,” “Fund,” “Incorporated,” “Institute,” “Society,” “Union,” “Syndicate” or “Limited,” or one of the abbreviations “Co.,” “Corp.,” “Inc.” or “Ltd.” The name cannot state or imply that the corporation or LLC is formed for purpose other than what is permitted in the articles of incorporation/organization. Also, the name cannot be the same or deceptively similar to any active domestic or foreign corporation or LLC filed with the state.
